The report was released on Sunday at Sonargaon Hotel in the capital.

According to the World Bank report, due to environmental pollution, losses of Tk 52 thousand crore per year in Bangladesh. Which is equivalent to 3-4 percent of GDP. 16 percent of the people who died in the world due to environmental pollution.The rate in Bangladesh is almost twice as high. The rate is 28 percent in the country.

The pollution of the "Clean and resident inahyansim Opportunities for Growth in urban Bangladesh, Country enabharamenta Analysis 2018" is the title of the report highlighted the World Bank's Acting Country Director rajasri parlakara.In urban areas, there is more pollution in urban areas than rural Bangladesh. The report said that in the urban areas of Bangladesh, 80,000 people died due to environmental pollution in 2015.

It is said in the report that 75 percent of the cultivated land was lost due to high buildings and unplanned urbanization in Dhaka City. In small towns like Pabna, 50 percent of the land was lost. In Bangladesh due to air pollution, the GDP per year is reduced by one percent. Urban air due to non-compliance industry and insufficient waste managementThe ground water pollution is being done.

For finishing a ton of cotton in one ton, 200 metric tons of contaminated water will fall into the river or canal. That is causing serious health problems to poor people in the neighborhood of the capital. It is also advised that environment pollution, especially in urban areas, must be effective and sustainably closed or controlled if the country is to be upgraded to a high middle income country.
